Ham Balls

This recipe if from a college friend, Cary Moorman.  Shortly after we graduated from college we had a recipe exchange (remember those from way back when - before pinterest and the internet).  Anyway, it is an all-time favorite with my family.  It makes a pretty big batch so I usually always freeze about half of them and use them for a later use.

3 eggs
2 c. milk
3 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 lbs. ham loaf
2 lbs. hamburger
1 t. salt
1 t. onion
Beat eggs in large bowl.  Add milk and graham cracker crumbs.  Add ham loaf, hamburger, salt and onion.  Mix and form into balls.  Place on large baking pan.  Bake for 30 minutes at 300*.  Drain grease if needed.  Make topping mixture and pour over ham balls.  Bake an additional 30 minutes at 300*.

Topping sauce:
1/2 t. dry mustard
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
1 c. brown sugar

Occasionally I will use this sauce instead (it's the one my mother-in-law uses):
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/8 c. vinegar
1 t. dry mustard
1 T. worchestershire sauce
