Coffee Cake

 

Cake:
1 cup liquid shortening
1 cup sugar
2 beaten eggs
3 cups flour
3 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 cup milk

Filling:
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 t. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Beat the cake ingredients and pour half in a greased 9x13 pan.  Sprinkle half of the filling on top.  Then add rest of cake mixture.  Sprinkle rest of filling on top and drizzle 3/4 stick melted margarine on top.  Bake 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
