Cupid's Crunch

Here is another snack I made to take to GEMS tonight.  It's a lot like my Almond Bark Popcorn but this recipe calls for a few "extras".

2 bags microwave popcorn or 1/2 to 2/3 cup popcorn kernels, popped
12 oz. almond bark (about 8 blocks)
2 cups pretzels - broken into pieces
1 to 1 1/2 c.  M&M's
Sprinkles, nonpareils, holiday shaped candies for decorations

Pop popcorn, set aside.  Be sure to pick any unpopped kernels out - they aren't fun to bite into when you don't expect them!  That may cause you a dental visit.  :)

Melt the almond bark at 30 second intervals at 50% power in the microwave until melted and smooth.

Toss broken pretzels and M&M's into the bowl with popcorn.  Then pour 1/2 the melted bark over the top and combine with 2 rubber spatulas.  Then add the other 1/2 of bark and stir again.

Spread mixture out on a sheet of wax paper.  While bark is still soft, sprinkle on sprinkles, nonpareils, or holiday shaped candies for decorations.  After the chocolate has dried, break into bits and store in an airtight container.
