When I worked for Ver Steegh Construction an elderly gentleman who worked in the shop, would bring this delicious apple dish to share at coffee time with the workers. It was so delish that I asked his wife for the recipe.
1 c. flour1 c. sugar
1 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1 egg (unbeaten)
5-6 apples, sliced
1/2 c. oleo (melted) I use real butter
cinnamon
Mix 1st four ingredients, add egg, mix until crumbly. Place apples in greased 9x13" pan. Cover with crumbs mixture. Put oleo on top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350* for 40-50 minutes or until apples are done. Cool and serve with ice cream or cool whip.
