Two years ago, some friends of ours hosted "The Truth Project" Bible Study in their home. We went to their house every Saturday night for 13 weeks. We took turns bringing snacks & goodies to eat. This was one of the recipes my friend (the hostess) made one week. They are delicious!
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 egg
12 oz. milk chocolate chips (reserve 1/2 c.)
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 bag English Toffee Bits (reserve 1/2 c.)
Mix flour, sugar and butter. Add egg and chocolate chips. Mix together well and reserve 1 1/2 cup. Press remainder in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Pour milk over crust, top with rest of crumb mixture, reserved chocolate chips and toffee bits. Bake an additional 15-20 minutes. After baking, sprinkle with more toffee bits.
